I bought this because I figured I wouldn't need to use it often and that I could find out. After many tries and a lot of wasted material I settled on the ARES 18025-3/16" double flare tool which is 200% better (I got a perfect flare on the first try). This tool leaves too many variables open to go wrong (Squareness of fitment, tightness of hose, hose prep, etc.) and I can't imagine getting everything right with the brake line still attached to the vehicle.Save yourself the frustration and risk of making poor quality flashes and buy you a better tool from the start.
