I bought these earrings for myself as I lead a very active lifestyle and wanted some cute and inexpensive earrings that would not fall out of my ears, but it was a little painful to put them in my ears. The screw part of the earrings scratched my ears when putting them in, which is to be expected. I bought them hoping they would be smaller as they are for kids but they are not. They are approximately the same size as any other earrings you purchase.
