Great disc for use with MacBook Pro (2016/2017). You'll benefit the most from the 2017 model (thanks to the updated Kaby Lake architecture, which integrates USB 3/Thunderbolt directly into the main chipset). Very easy to use - unpack and plug in (preformatted for Mac). Performance is as expected - I get 770MB/s reading and 870MB/s writing (note that the 2017 internal drive is insane - almost three times faster). So if you want sheer speed and storage for 4K video production, spend $1,500 (upgrade) and get an internal Mac drive. If you need fast storage (for running virtual machines, photo editing, 1080p video editing), save big and get Glyph.
