The stand looks great. The wide U-shaped channel at the bottom accommodates an iPad with a case. When I close the lid of the case, the iPad sits on the U-shaped plastic instead of the U-shaped base, but it's still relatively secure (it won't fall out). I like the height too. For FaceTime and Zoom video conferencing with iPad in landscape (horizontal) orientation, the height on the table places the camera at about nose level. This prevents "nose-up" recordings that occur when the iPad is laid flat on a table or when using a lower stand. HOWEVER, the stand wobbles when touching the iPad screen (this is the case with the 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro). I don't feel comfortable using it all day. The center post wobbles even when tightened to the base and top bracket. it is rarely touched For applications where I touch the iPad a lot (without an external keyboard and mouse), I bought a different stand. It folds open, sits low over the table and is wide. - hard when touching the iPad.
