Recently purchased and installed a 52 inch Hunter fan and a polished nickel lamp. I also bought an extension cord as it needed to be installed on a sloping ceiling in the kitchen. Brushed nickel pairs beautifully with stainless steel appliances. The fan blades are brown on one side and gray on the other. Again, gray is a nice accent in the kitchen. The fan has three speeds and all speeds work well. Now let's get down to business. bright. Light and fan are controlled by a remote control. The light is dimmable, with two 9W LED bulbs (equivalent to 60W). The emitted light is sufficient at the highest level. You will see a label stating that up to two 14W LED bulbs can be installed in the fixture. I bought and installed two 12.2w Philips LED bulbs (equivalent to 75w). I liked the result much better. Now to the problem. After the electrician installed the light, I found that the light would turn on and off every 5-15 minutes, all in a split second. Very annoying. I contacted Hunter customer service via email (takes forever on the phone - they responded to my email in about 5 hours). They told me to disable the remote and then enable it. The process is the same for both. First turn off the light with the remote control for 5 seconds and then turn it on again. Then press and hold the fan button, press and hold the fan button, and quickly press the light button twice. The dimming function is now deactivated. You then follow the same process to re-enable the remote control. Intermittent turning lights off and on should now be fixed. I couldn't believe it but it worked for me. I now have a nice fan with light and dimming function that looks great in the kitchen. I hope to alleviate the culinary problems in these uncomfortable summer days.
