I bought regular kinetic sand for a while because I liked that it didn't make a lot of mess. This was the first color set we tried and it's definitely a huge mess! It crumbles and sticks to everything and after 10 minutes of playing we lost most of the sand and there was hair in it (you can see the hairy clump in one of my photos)! A tiny bit of white got into the pink and once the colors touched there was no turning back, I didn't even bother to remove the brown because I could only imagine how ugly it would look putting it all together Mix. Toppings are a major CHOKING HAZARD for any child who likes to put something in their mouth and it is the first thing my child did. This material sticks to your hand and doesn't come off at all (see photos for details). This set was meant to be more for teens or adults and I could tell it was fun (hence the stars) but even then it won't last long if you try to keep the colors separate. It's definitely not suitable for toddlers or parents and is a waste of money as you won't get much enjoyment out of it. If you are looking for a toddler sandset, look for regular brown sandsets from the same brand as this one.
