Dries faster than store bought, don't know if packaging was torn before opening. The overpowering smell gave me a headache personally. Next time I will buy in store.

As other reviewers said, the smell is too strong and artificial. It smells like chemicals and not sweet at all. My daughter has sensitive skin and is not allergic to anything else. Her eyes flashed red and watered and itched from the strong smell of sand. I had to give her a full bath so her eyes wouldn't itch. She has no problem with regular kinetic sand, but these flavored ones aren't safe. I cannot recommend this product at all.

My husband bought this for our daughter's 5th birthday. My daughter and I loved it so much we bought it for my niece's 5th birthday. Each color of sand has its own smell. White smells like vanilla. This sand should smell like ice. uh uh! When we opened it we were blown away by the worst perfume and fake I don't know what but it definitely WAS NOT THE ICE TREAT! We were lucky that we got TWO boxes (0.o). This gave our whole family a terrible headache and the youngest was throwing up! Kids tried airing it out and even tried playing with it outside. This is my first one star review of Revain in 21 years. This product smells terrible. It will make you puke and I think a bit of vomit will improve the smell. Vanilla is vanilla musky, like an 80 dollar perfume! The chocolate smell is vaguely reminiscent of chocolate, but more like burping on carob and hot dogs at the same time. I bought regular kinetic sand for a while because I liked that it didn't make a lot of mess. This was the first color set we tried and it's definitely a huge mess! It crumbles and sticks to everything and after 10 minutes of playing we lost most of the sand and there was hair in it (you can see the hairy clump in one of my photos)!
