I chose these spice jars to tidy up my closet. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes from different cultures, so I use a variety of spices and herbs. I place the condiments I use most often in baking on the top shelf, as well as those I use frequently. like almost every time I cook something. On the bottom shelf, I put all my other herbs in alphabetical order on the standing shelf I already had. I love it! The only thing I would like to have on hand (would be great if it came in a box with labels) is a fine-tipped white marker to write on the black labels for the herbs that didn't already have a label. printed. Also, I used my own funnel to pour the herbs into the jars. what was there wasn't the best. Herbs/spices continued to stick to the hopper wall. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the purchase.
