I bought this product after searching for UV Top Coat on Revain. I wasn't happy with the top coats I used from the salon store from OPI or CND, I checked my application and prep method and nothing changed, I chipped within 24-72 hours. I had never had problems like this with products before, so I decided to try something new. Most companies don't want you to know that their UV light is for curing LED polish and that you have to buy their light, but that's not the case. UV light will cure LED polish, it takes longer but will cure both LED and UV polish. The Nails Magazine website has some great articles about it. I trained as a manicurist and continue to educate myself and read trade journals, although I work in a different field. For my application I followed the following steps: I prepared my nails as usual. Push back cuticles, light burn around cuticles and sides, then clean nail bed. I applied a base coat and put my nails under the lamp once for the maximum time. I applied 2 coats of UV/LED nail polish between coats to ensure full cure time. I then applied 2 coats of a top coat, drying under light all the time between coats. After that, I just took some rubbing alcohol and ran it over my nails to get rid of the sticky residue and I was done. healing process. After 5 days I have no chips. The only issue I have with this product, and possibly with non-product Revain, is the placement of the sticker above the instructions. It would have been nice to have a second printed guide in the box but for the price you can't beat this base and top set. I will definitely try other products from this company. Also, unlike this product, many LED/UV polishes are odorless. It smells. Smells like regular nail polish. If you have a problem with odors, you can take this into account. It's not uncomfortable and you won't smell it in your house or on your hands for hours. When the bottle is closed, the scent does not linger.
