Audio Technica knows about headphones!

Revane knows I've tried several headsets and they all had personal shortcomings such as fit and comfort, sound, features, and excessive heat build quality. My main heater was the Astro A50 Gen3, my volume control is starting to get naughty and my headphones are almost 2 years old, although very comfortable, in the top 3 for comfort, they have weakened over time. It's time to look for a new set of gaming headphones with good sound and comfort. After a few headsets, I almost gave up and am just living with my fiddly volume knob (I dropped it) and a loose-fitting headset. Hear from these new headsets from Audio Technica, the M50x style headset with 7.1 surround sound and wireless!? I pounced on it and now that I've used it for a total of 4 hours I just need to know for sure that it's my new headphones. I use this for PC gaming, multimedia and chat. Comfort is a must for gaming, for those familiar with the m50, these fit just like that, good earpads, you get an extra kit! Fit and clamping force just right, workmanship is great as expected from Audio Technica, metal strap and solid adjustment. Sound, I'm by no means a music lover and am not qualified to give a detailed review of how this sounds. I know what I like, the highs and mids are detailed to play with, the footsteps sound clear, the bass is rich and clear with a bit of ummph. not overwhelming at all. Surround works great as I'm a big fan of this feature. This was the best of several I've tried lately. I use Dolby Atmos along with built in surround sound, amazing spatiality and soundstage. The mic works, clean and crisp, not sure if it has noise cancellation, it has a pop filter. Pros: - Convenience! - Build quality! - sound! - Battery life - Microphone! The sound button turns the sound signal on or off. Not a 3.5 pass for normal listening. No bluetooth to pair with phone (they sound fantastic for music)
