After a few uses they are very flexible and easy to seal. First I had to dip my hands under hot water and then rub the waxed cloth against the rim of the bowl (or plate, whatever the food was in!) to seal it. I've never used waxed cloths before, so maybe it's just my learning curve that made them easier after a few uses. They leave marks, but it's just wax - a little hot water and dish soap, no problem. that come with nice ones but not long enough to be super functional. Useful for wrapping some crumbly cheese or half a sandwich. Very easy to clean, no lingering odors or stains. All in all I don't regret the purchase! I can try to make my own now.
