I said earlier that the build seems solid, but time will tell about the quality. I finally moved things to where I could try the splitter and couldn't because the cables they came with the splitter won't stay connected, no way, no way. So I can't know if they actually transmit the signal and if the splitter will share. I ordered a different brand of cable to make sure everything worked, but potential buyers should consider this before purchasing. If you save on quality cables, the internal design of the splitter can also be reduced. Once I can get good quality cables and try the splitter I will recommend more, but even if they work the best I see 2-3 stars because of the cables. Update 4/30/2020: Got better quality cables yesterday, tried them last night and they don't "snap" into the splitter where they stay plugged in (they work fine in other optical sockets but not in this box) . I taped the new cables to the splitter so they wouldn't pull out hoping it would work, but the audio being transmitted was extremely static (probably because the cable, even with tape, was still "wiggling" in the grooves " could). This item is useless and a big waste of my money. Will request a refund immediately.
