Setup is very simple, plug and play. I had to separate optical audio for my Bose sound system and a Bluetooth device that sends audio to my wife's hearing aids. This works very well for my application.

I use it to split my TV's optical output into a soundbar and an old stereo receiver. I connect one of the outputs to a D/A converter, then the analogue one to my old receiver and the other directly to the soundbar.

Toslink LiNKFOR 3 port splitter with 4 optical cables included is a great solution. The splitter works great. However, I can't use one (1) of the ports because it somehow doesn't secure the cable securely ☹️ - Reason for only 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received one of the four optical cables that came with it. I understand, although it's hard to count. Ideal for splitting the optical output from the PC to two receivers. First I tried a passive splitter which didn't work. Then I replaced it with this one. Powering on from a USB motherboard is fine.

If you want to make 3 out of an optical output, this is the device you need. I've tried other cheaper ones that are difficult to use. I connected that and it worked. That's easy! The best part is that it works great! I connected my amp, bluetooth speaker and bluetooth jack to connect up to 4 bluetooth devices. It's double the price of a cheap one that doesn't work but works great!

I bought this item so that we can connect wireless headphones to our new LG TV along with external speakers. The TV only had an optical port and I needed our external speakers and wireless headphones to work at the same time. This separates the optical audio so I can hear the external speakers and my husband can use the headphones at the same time. This is an easy way to solve the problem by connecting an optical cable from each element to this device. I would recommend this item.

I said earlier that the build seems solid, but time will tell about the quality. I finally moved things to where I could try the splitter and couldn't because the cables they came with the splitter won't stay connected, no way, no way. So I can't know if they actually transmit the signal and if the splitter will share.
