Review on 🐠 Hygger 9.7 Inches LED Aquarium Light with Blue and White LEDs - Clip on, Ideal for Planted Saltwater and Freshwater Fish Tanks, Gooseneck Clamp, 13W by Dominique Phillips

Revainrating 2 out of 5

After I adjusted my gas cap.

I bought this because I plan to build a small aquarium with plants for my betta and some tetras. The light that came with my 3.7 gallon Imagitarium Pro was good and the Kelvin levels were well balanced for growing fir plants, but the light wasn't powerful enough to grow demanding plants. it would be just what i needed. The old light was 2 watts, Hygger 13 watts. The first issue I noticed was that the clamp adjustment knob was on the inside of the tank. It fits, no problem, but my jar lid couldn't sit flush as the handle got in the way. Also, the glass lid could not be pushed all the way over the tank because the handle protruded too far. hardly. I solved the second problem by using a dremel and sawing off the finger guard on the lid. I managed to push the lid back very firmly. However, the lid still pops out from the back. Maybe holding the dremel by the handle could also solve this problem. However, I decided to take a look at the light first. I was a little disappointed to see that not only was there a very slight difference in intensity between the old light and the Hyugger, but that the Hyugger went too far into the blue which is not great for plant growth. However, I plan to keep the light and hope to modify it later with some red LEDs and try to adapt it to my needs. Until then, I'll stick with my original light source, which uses a lot less power. and closer to the daily Kelvin range I'm looking for.
