Both of my flashlights arrived fully charged and so far excellent, I highly recommend them. I put one in my pocket when I get up in the morning, wear it all day, and then leave it on my nightstand when I go to bed. I find myself using it at least two or three times a day. An unexpected bonus as a spider slayer! We sometimes have half-dollar-sized black spiders in the basement, and if you try to get close to them, they're always fast enough to disappear and hide in the French sewers. Now I've killed three of the three by aiming a narrow beam at them from fifteen feet, disorienting them and getting close enough to finish them off.
