Review on 🎧 KZ ZS10 Wired Earphones - 5 Hybrid Drivers in-Ear HiFi Stereo Headphones, Red NO Mic – Noise Isolating Earbuds by Teambringit Truitt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good, but not great

KZ managed to cram four balanced armature drivers and one dynamic driver into the ZS10, creating a hybrid monster that looks great on paper, but ends up being a bit lackluster looks. Note: I will compare them to the KZ ED16 which seems to be one of their lesser known models but is my current everyday pair of headphones. no creaking or loose parts. My selection of translucent blue earbuds look great when paired with twisted pair copper cable. The cable is high quality, soft and does not produce a noticeable microphone. With five drivers per side, these earbuds are large but fit comfortably in my relatively small ears. Isolation is only average, but depends heavily on your choice of earbuds. (I used standard medium-sized tips.) Sound: Bass is present but not overpowering. It's a bit squishy compared to the ED16, although I wonder if the foam inserts help compress it a bit. I had problems with the mids with the SZ10. To my ears, they have a significant V-shaped signature, and the mids are very deep and empty compared to the lows and highs. Listening to both music and talk/podcasts, I always wished the vocals (especially the male ones) would open up and come to life. The mids seem to open up a bit more than usual at higher volumes. The high frequencies are quite detailed without introducing sibilance or pain/fatigue. stuck in the background. KZ packed a lot of drivers into headphones at a reasonable price. I wanted to like them for the performance, but I'm going back to my ED16s. I will update this review if I find a specific genre of music that the SZ10 is well suited to!
