Not good for Nurse working during night shift

Brought them for my woman, yes female Nurse works nights at hospital where people bump into you , as conditions are hard core. The one light already broke the first night of work, broke in her pocket, had bits of glass that impaled her finger tips, making it difficult to work the next 2 nights. I'm willing to buy light/pens that are durable not plastic knockoffs that break easily. The other pen/light we in cased in cloth-medical tape not sure how good it will be. At Granger used to buy…

Pros
  • the materials are thin
Cons
  • Learned later on they don’t work if the top is screwed on all the way.

1 works, 1 doesn’t - my new review

I received 1 pen light that works, and 1 that doesn’t - the light never turns off despite clicking the on/off button. I needed both pens so I’m disappointed.

Pros
  • Godd pens for your money. Very bright.
Cons
  • The pupil gauge does not have clear markers for different pupil sizes

Great lights, easy to use!

As a nurse, I’m always looking/needing a light pen to complete assessments when working with patients. I love that these came in a 2 pack so I will always have one available when needed. They have a bright light, easy to use, and come in a variety of great colors!

Pros
  • Good value
Cons
  • The penlights are not ergonomically designed and can cause hand fatigue

Highly recommend: my feedback

I use this everyday at work and I love it. It slides right into my pocket and helps me out with every patient I see. I like that it has the pupil measurements to compare to.

Pros
  • Easy purchase. Works well. Would buy from again
Cons
  • The black penlight is constantly covered in fingerprints and smudges

2 pack of penlights

The pen lights work nicely. A little too bright in my opinion. And also please read the description carefully. These penlights don't come with batteries.

Pros
  • Pleased with product
Cons
  • The penlights are easily misplaced due to their small size

2 pack but 1 the bulb was almost burned out on 1

this was a 2 pack but 1 pupil light bulb was almost burned out & not bright or useable, they are made from heavy metal, so was a little disappointed since I needed 2

Pros
  • Great for the price and is reliable… I wish it wouldve came with batteries.
Cons
  • Super bright pen

Awesome medical lights

I bought these for a comprehensive home first aid kit. They are durable and the light is not overpowering. It takes a firm click on the button to turn them one, no worries about them accidentally turning on.

Pros
  • Great light for checking pupils
Cons
  • The batteries drain quickly and need to be replaced frequently

Too bright for exams.

This is really too bright for eye exams. I tried it on myself. I would feel bad for a patient if I used it, especially working night shift. I think it works better as a flash light. In fact that's how I'm using it now.

Pros
  • Love my pen light It’s nice and bright and great to do my assessments on my patients
Cons
  • The clip is flimsy and prone to breaking easily

Practical Use in my review

I started working as an EMS provider in the field and needed a pen light to assess patients. This product is extremely practical given the bright white LED, as well as the chart for sizing pupils and the ruler to measure wounds, incisions etc. Would recommend and buy again down the line.

Pros
  • Value for money & brightness!! I use it for work which I am a nurse and it works great!
Cons
  • The LED light can cause an uncomfortable glare if not positioned correctly

Nice Pen Lights best in my review

My previous pen light died, so I ordered replacements (difficult to replace/find the battery). I'm so glad I did and had them on hand because I ended up needing one for an emergency a week after getting them. I like that this takes AAA batteries since it's commonly on hand, so it's easy to replace. It worked well and like having two so I can keep one on hand and one in the first aid kit.

Pros
  • bought for nursing school, works as expected and battery life lasts awhile
Cons
  • The white penlight looks dirty and yellowed after repeated use

Works great for my opinion

I’m a physician. Sometimes I need to shine a light in eyes or the back of a throat. This does the trick. 4 stars because it turns on too easy in my purse.

Pros
  • Just needed a pen light for my first aid kit. This was perfect.
Cons
  • The penlights are not suitable for use in sterile medical environments

TOO BRIGHT, not good for hospital setting

Shined the light at my brother from a far and he said it was bright. I let him try it on me at a closer distance and it obviously blinded me for a sec. Do not think this would play out well on patients. No batteries were included

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • The pupil gauge is too small to be useful for those with visual impairments

Way too bright: my feedback

These lights are way too bright to use for looking at patients’ eyes. I tried it on myself and it literally hurts. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • These are affordable and well made
Cons
  • The penlights do not have a protective cap, leaving the LED exposed and prone to damage

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Entirely too bright

Bought these to keep on my person since whenever I want to check pupillary response I never seem to be able to find a pen light. Tried them out when they came in today and they are entirely too bright. I’d understand if they were marketed as a flashlight but as an exam light they are useless. Guess I don’t have to worry about reactivity and dilation if my patient is blind.

Pros
  • Great cheap easy pen light very bright no batteries included but otherwise great product
Cons
  • The pupil gauge is difficult to clean and quickly accumulates grime and dust

the light of ten thousand suns

they are so so so incredibly brighti used to have the really common/standard disposable pen lights--these ones are way more intense, but they aren't uncomfortable as long as you point them at the eyes from kind of the side rather than directly in front. honestly they work okay as flashlights, they are that brighteverything else is great--i appreciate that they are reusable, and they have a very satisfying weight to them

Pros
  • Have had these for about 6 months now…still works great.
Cons
  • The penlights are not reliable and have a tendency to stop working after a short period of time

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for clinical use

Way too bright to be used for checking pupillary response. You need to cover the bulb with two layers of tape in order to not be blinded after use.

Pros
  • Reliable and easy to use. Works right out of the box. Just needs batteries.
Cons
  • The pupil gauge is not accurate and can produce false readings

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not consistent best in my review

Item does not consistently turn on when you press the button. Both pen lights in the package had this issue. That's my review.

Pros
  • Works well for nursing students
Cons
  • The LED is not adjustable and cannot be focused on specific areas

Too Bright in my review

For optic reflexes the light is too bright. Excellent value for a penlight, just not for pupil reflexes. Blinding. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • THEYRE REALLY, REALLY BRIGHT!!!!!!!!
Cons
  • The switch is difficult to press and often requires multiple attempts

Led penlight on my review.

I am a retired nurse. I like these a lot even though I do not use them as they are intended. They are great for a mal light weight ligt in my pocket book next to my sofa etc. Looking in between the sofa cushions for lost items as a small spotlight when looking for lost items etc It comes in handy all the time.

Pros
  • Met my needs for conducting eye and pupil exams with my students. Couldn’t beat the price!
Cons
  • The LED brightness is too weak to adequately examine patients' pupils

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very bright, do not come with batteries

Super bright! Know that it does not come with batteries, so you will need 2 AAA batteries for each pen. I needed these for nursing school and they are perfect.Edit: Only thing I dislike about it is that because the button is so easy to push, I always find it accidentally turned on. I wish there was some kind of lock to keep it from accidentally being clicked all the time. Other than that, still good.

Pros
  • Cumple con su función pero es muy delicados
Cons
  • The penlights are not compatible with rechargeable batteries
