Where to Start? This toy is a MUST. Yes, the songs and voices are annoying and you'll find yourself singing songs in your sleep, but it's worth it. My 6 month old is obsessed with this toy. It's one of the few toys that I can use to put her on the floor and complete chores without her getting bored and angry. On the top there are 4 buttons (circle, triangle, star, square), each of which has an image of an animal (circle-bird, triangle cow, square cat, star-dog). They make animal noises, sing songs, play music, count to 3, play games, etc. My child keeps pressing the buttons and loves the sound and light. There's also a rotating cylinder at the top that rattles. Blocks of letters (A, B, C, D) rotate on one side and numbers rotate on the other side. On the other side are musical instruments (shaker, drum, symbol). and one side with a spinning ladybug. The bottom only has blue lettering (not the exciting side). This toy, annoying as it is, brings joy to my child and trains his motor skills and cause-effect relationships. I highly recommend it. UPDATE: My baby is now 16 months old and still enjoys playing with this toy. It lasted a year and is still going well. I love that he still grabs her attention and is a toy that will grow with her. It has withstood all the drops, excessive button presses and twists from a year of gaming very well. I still highly recommend this cube for practice. ANOTHER UPDATE: My daughter is now 2.5 and still plays with this toy from time to time. She still loves songs and names all the animals, shapes and colors on the cube. I honestly never thought when I bought it that interest in it would last 2 years, but it is. It really was the best toy purchase I've ever made.
