I've always had a two drawer metal filing cabinet, but in recent years I've had to scan a lot of our files and don't need as much space. In combination with the recent remodeling of our office space, I no longer needed a relatively large and unattractive filing cabinet. These decorative filing cabinets are just what you need: they offer much more flexibility of use and space, and they are much more aesthetic than metal filing cabinets. I am especially glad that I read the reviews before purchasing. I first looked for cheaper versions, but found that many of them didn't have internal metal rails for hanging binder hooks, and files often fell off the edges of the box or got caught in the fabric. I have also found that other box lids are not suitable for folder registers. None of that is a problem with these boxes: suspension files slide perfectly on internal rails that just pop out the sides, and there's plenty of vertical space for attaching tabs, even when the lid is closed. My only very minor gripe is that one of the lids is harder to open than the other. So if I could go back in time and buy these crates in the beginning, I would. And I would buy two sets: 2-3 for our files and then extra ones to store other items.
