Colors in video mode are not accurate.

Let's get straight to the point. If you're buying these Govee Lightbars primarily for video mode only, color accuracy is questionable. The camera needs to read the colors of your TV and reflect them onto the light strips. Color accuracy is not always available. On the film's dark and white stage, the lights are always blue. There are no greens. Yellow white. Blue, pink, and purple are the colors that shine, even when those colors aren't visible on the screen. You'll see a blue-purple light show no matter what you do. I have calibrated these bands many times and also moved the camera to the bottom of the TV with no success on color accuracy. The camera mostly prefers the colors I mentioned. Everything else is hit or miss. The weirdest thing is that when I calibrated and tested the camera using one of those YouTube Ambilight color test videos, the colors looked fine, but when I watched a movie or TV show, the colors didn't always match what was on the screen Screen was displayed after adjusting the brightness and saturation. Aside from the video mode, all the other color modes don't disappoint either. These color modes are awesome, and the app offers tons of customization options that you'll love. Don't get me wrong, Cinema mode is a fun and entertaining light show no matter the colors, but if you want 100% color accuracy then these strips may not be for you. All in all, the price you pay compared to Philips Hue bulbs is very high. I wish Govee could do something about video mode color accuracy, maybe with an upgrade or a better camera.
