I bought this for a cat who had chronic diarrhea. It turned out that diarrhea was associated with a lymphoma and not with the gastric flora. At the same time, the composition looks solid. I gave some to another cat who had new diarrhea and it may have helped. The problem could also be temporary as I suspect she ate something she wasn't supposed to have so it's hard to say if that really helped. I don't think it hurts anyway. I was intrigued by the reviews that said their cats would eat the powder. One of my 4 only licks the bowl with the contents of the capsule powder. The two I used the product on didn't. But I would eat it mixed with wet food. I noticed that the bottle says not to give to immunocompromised animals. The review said one of the probiotic strains might help trigger a yeast infection (or fungal infection or something. Sorry for the reminder.) Just something to be aware of. . I converted the powder into #4 gelatin capsules for my cat with lymphoma for a while. (Once I thought it was IBD). After a few tries I was usually able to get 2.5 or 3 #4 softgels partially filled from 1 softgel.
