I'm always on the lookout for a good shower head (especially portable ones with a wire, useful for bathing children's heads). I scan them every time I go to Home Depot/Lowes/Sam's. I had to buy one on short notice last August 2016 when I moved to a townhouse and the master bath had a walk in shower with an old shower head that didn't spray and spray well. So I bought this one at a reasonable price (it was $25 at the time). I remember seeing the specs/review about it being plastic - that's true. But with a great chrome finish and after 10 months of barely knowing it's plastic I now had to tap it to remind myself it's plastic. Why I mention this has to do with point 2. Here are the reasons for my review title and my high rating. 1) Because I had a walk in shower (e.g. 2.5ft x 2.5ft) and due to previous issues with the shower head, this has the perfect cylindrical shower spray. this. The head diameter is 4.5 inches, the shower jet when hitting the floor is also 4.5 inches. So it doesn't open compared to the old/previous head, that was the ideal situation. Might be a small negative factor if I had a bigger shower I would like it to open about 12 inches when it hits the floor. But for my situation it could open up to about 6 inches. That's the only reason I give 4 stars, if there were 4.5 stars it would be for sure. 2) This showerhead has 5 settings - more than enough and perfect (there are some with 12 - and not ONE doesn't fit!). I stick with the full jet, others rarely use it, what I like is when I change the setting after someone else has used the shower, most other shower heads have water dripping/leaking from the side of the shower head while this one - NO - a few drops drip, and that's it, and water squirts out of all "on" switched nozzles at the same time, not half comes / drips from the previous nozzles. That's why I indicated that it is made of plastic but of very good quality.
