Review on πŸͺ€ Aluminum Professional Bearing Yo-Yo by Yoyo King: Ideal for Sports & Outdoor Play by Tyler Blake

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good bimetal for the price.

I really like this yo-yo. For a cheap bimetal it has held up well over the last few months. Like Space Monkey, Ghost (both from the same company) is a jack of all trades, but not a master at anything. Again it doesn't have to be. It is designed as a bimetal that can also act as a shock throw if desired. Carry it with you, scratch it; It's not expensive and it's fun. The shape is a V-shaped profile with rounded edges. In my opinion, this makes the Ghost slightly better for speed combos than its Space Monkey counterpart. There can be decent finger grinding/twisting if you use a glove, but they'll never be as good as, say, YoYofficer Yacare. Again, this is not an attempt to be such. For what I have it shines with clean spin times and stability. In terms of pure spin times, mine can compete with much more expensive bimetals like my iYoYo Iceberg or Yoku Euler, both of which are significantly more expensive. Combine this with its inherent stability and it's a great yoyo to use when learning new tricks, especially long combos. As an added bonus, my Ghost is completely silent. This comes in handy when I want to stop while watching a show or listening to music. The only negative I have for it are the answer panels; they are quite slippery. If you're a seasoned player in an unresponsive scene, this won't be the worst thing in the world. However, players new to Immunized Yoyos will have a hard time with this one. In short, it's a good bimetal for what it is. I threw it in my backpack to take to work with me so I could have a fun yo-yo on hand without worrying about it suffering cosmetic damage. If you're on the fence, give it a try.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
