I wanted a pair of pink shirts that would be visible when walking my dog on the Appalachian Trail and other hiking trails. That's what I need. Not only is it a great color and highly visible, it is better than the standard bright orange needed during deer season. The color helps identify me as a hiker and not a hunter when out with my dog. As I get older, bright colors become more important in case I have a medical emergency while hiking. Aside from standard precautions like a personal alarm, easy access to a cell phone, and room in my backpack, this helps a potential rescuer find me when I'm in a remote area, as I often am. Aside from the above, neon pink helps lift you up. my mood when hiking on gray cloudy days.
