These comments are about the VEO Discover 38 Messenger Bag. I have several camera bags. My previous bag (most used) is the Mindshift large backpack. Functionally, Mindshift is great, but more than once I found its size to be a disadvantage. I was looking for a medium sized bag and finally found the Vanguard Discover 38 Messenger. After the first use I realized that I have a new bag. My favorite feature is the base that fits my Manfrotto Be-Free travel tripod like they designed a bag for it. So nice that my tripod isn't attached to the outside of the bag! Even with a tripod in my bag, I can still fit my mirrorless camera in my bag with an attached medium zoom, a second lens, and a compact camera. I also like the rain cover which is very easy to pull out and use and is attached to the bag making it difficult to lose. Overall, the VEO Discover 38 Messenger seems to have been specifically designed for my needs. I hope Vanguard doesn't discontinue this bag.
