The ant was a great gift for a child. He loved it right out of the box. This was our first hex error, so thanks for the very easy controls. The downside is that the batteries don't last as long as expected. Buy new batteries to see if the same thing happens. Overall, after unpacking, the child had about 6 hours of playtime in 2 days. But even if the child cannot move, he still plays with the ant.
