I've been a body and paintworker for 30 years. However, I have never tried PDR. I chose this kit after one of my custom cars was damaged by hail. I didn't get perfect results removing all the dents, but I don't blame the tool kit for that. The steel on my old classic cars is heavier than the steel on the new ones. My paint jobs require more coats of primer and paint than a new car and this may have affected my results. I still had to repaint my panels but I didn't have to use putty and it really made a big difference. The kit gives you everything you need and more. I only need to use the smaller of the dent pull tabs. It was handy to have multiple types of drawing tools. I have used them all. I really liked the slide hammer puller and I also used the pull handle puller a lot.
