These are my absolute favorites

I'm a mixed media artist. I also use tons of glue on my collages. I use these scrapers to smooth out glued papers. They are neither thin nor sharp, nor do they tear my wet paper. Adhesive adhering to the scraper comes off immediately.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative impression

Not as flexible as I expected but they work well

These Dynatron spreaders are good but not as flexible as I was hoping for my current project. However, they have smooth, even edges, are easy to use, and get the job done. I've only bought one other spreader in the past so my idea of flexibility may not match the market.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection

Enough flexibility

I used one of these to glue the plywood to attach the fabric. It offers excellent flexibility while maintaining a reasonably rigid edge. Easily erased. If you use it in harsh environments don't expect it to last, but for the price and 3/pack I don't think you can go wrong.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Great price works great can be reused

I used these with Bondo for a fender repair. You will receive three soft plastic blades, large, medium, small. Nothing special to check here, they are used to promote and distribute Bondo and do an excellent job. After use, I was able to easily clean them and reuse them in the future if needed.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Only available in black

Straight edge not straight. The edge is curved in all three sizes. See attached photos. I was drawn to them because they are reusable, but good luck trying to fill the surface so it's flat. Because the flared edge is curved, you will end up with a depression in the middle of your surface.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not bad

Eh, I did better with a metal spatula

I cut the curb and patched a small dent under the driver's door with Bondo. The spacers didn't do a good job with a little work as Bondo seemed to stick to them and not my car. Instead, I used a small angled metal spatula and just threw them away. I didn't have a lot of money so it's no big deal. However, if you work a little, I think metal is better for applying bondo than plastic.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • So So

Good but difficult to pull off, impossible really

Rebellion tells you to fully cure or dry bondo or putty on the spatulas before simply bending them to remove the dried product, but this doesn't work, which is fine. Because the spatulas hold their shape when flexed, and the all-purpose putty I used stuck to them like superglue, I was only able to use them once and had to throw them in the trash because they won't come off. But they did a job that I asked them to do.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Lots of things

Great tool for artists

I create acrylic paintings and often need to move paint across a board or canvas. I used conventional kitchen spatulas, but they weren't wide enough for my purposes. A search on Revain found them and thought they might be worth a try. I'm so glad I did! They're easy to use and come in three different sizes so I can find the right fit for any space I work in. They are washed with soap and water and look like new again. I am very happy with them.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hardware

Not good after first use

After mixing the first batch of Bondo, I spread it out in a small, even layer. After removing the dried material and doing a second pass with the same spreader (the largest), I noticed that the spreader was extremely uneven with a bulge in the middle. I examined the brace and found that it was permanently misshapen and had a small nick that would not fold back. I've been using Bondo and Spreaders for years and know they're partially disposable, but I've never seen any breakage after the first…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
