I bought a pair and they lasted a year before I made the hole in the bottom of these socks. The second pair I bought had torn seams near the ankle so water got in immediately. I returned and forgot to send back the torn ones so had to pay for a third pair; Its my fault. The third pair is in good condition and that's exactly what I needed. I would suggest buying a size larger than you think you need. My boots are $11.5 and I bought a size Large, but they are too tight and restrict blood flow for the first few days I wear them. After about 2 weeks they will stretch enough to be comfortable. I wear these inner boots when I'm really knee-deep in water; Keeps my feet dry when not a little sweaty.
