So far, so good! The lights arrived in perfect condition and just like the ones I remember on our tree as a kid. They started bubbling up almost immediately and are still glowing and the amount of light is almost perfect for our little 4 foot tree. However, I don't think a single string will work well on anything larger. I had to use an extension cord because the cord is short and otherwise all the lights wouldn't be on the tree itself and as other reviewers have mentioned the lights heat up very quickly (I noticed this at the base, not the bladder tube). . I think as long as you're okay with the tree not glowing unattended, this won't be a problem.
