This is by far the nicest scratching post I have ever seen. Its modern wooden platform is a welcome addition. When assembling this product, be sure to start assembling from the top down to simplify the process. "My 10kg cat fits on the ledges and leaves room. She wasn't really interested in climbing it UNTIL I sprayed it with the catnip spray that comes with the kit. I think I may have oversprayed it a bit because after that she immediately grabbed it and it looked like she just wanted to aggressively gobble up the whole tree. A very awkward moment. I probably won't use the spray again (to keep the carpet intact), but if you have a cat that loves scratching posts but doesn't want the typical ugly carpet look, I highly recommend it. Take it easy with the spray.
