They have three modes: fast flash, slow flash and always on. This is a simple bracelet but it suits most people and places. I wear mine on my shoulder or occasionally on my hip if I'm just walking around at night (it doesn't obviously pucker, but it stays on). Easy on and off which is a plus. I only turn it on when I'm on a very dark street, and I turn it off pretty easily when I'm running where there are streetlights.
