When I first received the bedside table I had a few questions as the very first instruction was how to attach the bedside table to the wall. I've never had to mount a bedside table to the wall and immediately took care of its stability. My concern turned out to be in vain as the stand is very stable. What I found is that the stand doesn't have a back, it's open. Each slide has drawer stops that prevent the drawers from being pulled out from the back. I find the stand very attractive with a nice shiny/waxed top. The front of the drawers has a slight incline, but at this price point I don't care. They fit well and slide easily across shelves and have an easy to remove insert that prevents collapsing. I've only had the stand for about a week but so far so good. I can recommend this bedside table.
