Review on Amazicha Motorcycle Taillight License Sporster by Michael Clarke

I was impressed with the overall quality of the body, lens and mounts. Everything is well made and beautifully finished, especially considering the price. However, the LED lighting unit could be improved. The tail light circuit and the brake light circuit drive the same LEDs, the only difference is the brightness (the tail light circuit has an additional resistor). So the white license plate LEDs are pretty dim, but they shine brighter when you brake. Luckily in my case I bought it to use on my Civi Cheetah e-bike and was planning on making my own circuits and wiring to get everything working. I modified the LED board to suit my needs (all red LEDs on the same circuit). So in my case this block was a good starting point and I now have a nice bright flashing tail light that stays on all the time when I apply the brake (uses a 555 timer, a PNP power transistor and connects to the brake lever switch on the control circuit).
