Do a little research on what you're getting.

So far I am giving 3 stars for the purchase and 4 stars for the stones. I will explain. I was looking for However, the mixed bag you get isn't something you just want to toss in a jar, tends to be tougher, softer ones (like obsidian). Another lesson I learned was that, although a mineral like garnet and chevron amethyst scores high on the Mohs scale, the parts I received were cracked and are best suited for cutting and polishing on a grinding wheel Crystals tend to break up and become a processing medium in a glass (also with pillow filler) I checked the gloss after 3 days with a fine grit, only went 3 more days to see the same view Ad I've figured out what happened I'll post some photos of what I got put in and add what came out. To be fair, I've included a few pictures of four other items (Sodalite, Tiger's Eye, Red Jasper, and Moss Agate). Another stone that turned out to be good was rose quartz. There was some brecciated jasper, but in shades of gray. Learned a lot. As for the price, I would spend that much on gas to go stone hunting.

Pros
  • Size: ranges from 1" to 2", average: 1.25"
Cons
  • Good but not great
