I don't like it when my cell phone is on the dashboard or on the window, it kind of blocks the view. I wanted a mount that would actually hold my phone and charge it like a charger. After looking at all models and reading many reviews, I decided on this one. My car has upgraded suspension, rigid engine mounts and a full exhaust system. My car rattles and vibrates a lot, of course, it's a high-performance car. The mount actually stays in place, it vibrates a bit from my car's vibration, but that's not enough to bother me. If you have a stock car, everything is fine. I think it's great that I can switch the mount from portrait to landscape format so easily. As you can see from the photos, it blocks my AC controls due to the angle and placement, but with a quick flick of the lock I can quickly turn my phone sideways and back. It was initially fun to find a place to mount it, there aren't many big enough surfaces around the driver in my car so I installed it on the passenger side of the center console. And it doesn't interfere with gear changes unless I'm in portrait mode, as you can see. But I turn it on when I get in and don't have to fiddle with it until I get out, so it's not a problem. So I can honestly say it was a great product and I would highly recommend this mount, very easy to use, one button unlocking and auto close is a win-win in my book.
