Review on Gold Tone Permanent Coffee Filter by Brittney Shallenberger

Need #2 or #4 for a 4 cup coffee maker? As confusing as it is, you probably want number 2. The ones for number 4 are for large coffee makers (8-12 cups). I think this little filter is well made and will last a long time, but I think there is a small flaw in the design. Where the handle protrudes through the sides of the filter, there are two small protrusions on the outside that prevent the filter from sliding fully into some coffee makers. However, this is the only #2 metal filter I could find, so my plan is to just carefully trim away those knotty bits with a utility knife when I'm ready to use it. The handle may fall out, but it's just a bonus anyway. In any case, I mostly take the filter by the side because it's too difficult to find the handle in the dim morning light of my kitchen anyway. I may update this review once I have an idea of how long it will last, but I'm still happy with the purchase, gnarly parts or not.
