They seemed a bit small at first, but after they got up one day they loosened up and got just right. good sport about it. First I didn't tighten the velcro tight enough and I didn't tighten the elastic so the dog could take them off. Once I've tightened both the Velcro and the elastic, they stay on. At first the dog walked a little strangely, but the second day he ran and played. No matter how terribly cold it is (-37 cold wind), they are important for his legs. They also keep chunks of ice off his paw pads.
