Tried everything: natural nails, nail polish, gel polish, acrylic extensions, extensions. I have never found a worthy substitute for going to the salon and I hate the salon for the time, money and inconsistent quality. It was my first time trying a bath, I took off the acrylic and started over. I still needed the length, so I followed the instructions (mostly from the web/YouTube) on how to dip the nail tips. Definitely a lot quicker and easier (and more natural result) than acrylic! It was a great starter kit, I particularly liked the soft brush and the carrying case it came in. The cans are a good size and last a long time. The colors look great (they look different in the jar but after tinting they change to the colors shown in the photo). There's definitely a learning curve - make sure to really smooth out completely before applying the top coat, but also dip enough times to fully cover. Also be careful, an activator that doesn't fully absorb and stay on the surface will make the top coat matte instead of shiny (this can be avoided by rubbing the surface of the nail with a cloth before applying the top coat, like that I was able to polish and repair after online research). The finished product looks fantastic! And now that I know what I'm doing, I'm sure it will get easier for me every time. Will order more flowers now! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I think the instructions could be more detailed as this is meant to be a starter kit, but all of this can be figured out with some research online beforehand it is tried.
