I was worried at first because it was smaller than I thought it would be, but it's the perfect size for my betta to relax and swim. Hopefully this will remain so for the foreseeable future as it grows. I have an aquarium with smaller fish and it would be perfect for him if my Betta outgrew him. The holes were very even, I didn't have to sand. It's also a very subtle look, which is nice. It's a little smaller than my fist but seems just right. My betta loves to play in it. The only complaint is that I think it could have been a bit cheaper because it's basically just a small ceramic pot with holes, but a good product in my opinion.
