Nearly perfect. for accessory

What I like about them is that they work. I just invested in an entire home security system using DMP products with Z-Wave. I've never used Z-Wave so I was hoping it would be easy. I use TP-Link a lot and I think it's pretty easy, if a bit tedious. Adding it to Z-Wave was the easiest part of the whole ordeal. The hardest part? Lid on it! The metal edge is so thick that it cannot be completely covered by the wall paneling. In fact, the plastic inner case on the back ONLY fits in the back box where my light switches are installed. I installed two of these in two different parts of the house. Both were easy to install - and luckily they included the white wire that is REQUIRED for them to work. I had to dig out the white wire at the back of the box and honestly the white wire could have been used for at least another inch or two but it worked. That's really all that matters at the end of the day. I've REALLY never installed a light switch in my life - until I bought them. i was so nervous But I turned off the electricity in the house, went ahead and tried. (after a few YouTube video demos). It wasn't difficult at all. Honestly, I don't understand how electricians charge hundreds of dollars for this job. As long as you replace the same wires in the same places, you should be fine. I didn't burn down my house. Both worked the first time. Both connected to the Z-wave within a few seconds. Now they are supposed to turn on and off at certain times of the day. Life is Beautiful!

Pros
  • SimpleWire - Auto-sensing line/load terminals allow for quick installation by identifying line and load wires and configuring the switch accordingly. Two grounding terminals, staggered to eliminate screws securing the junction box, support daisy chaining in multi-switch configurations.
Cons
  • Not the best
