these boots are amazingly well made. I've bought a lot of rubbers that have no padding and twist and move, but they are snug fitting and have very soft padding on the right back side of the hoof, right where contact would be if your horse overextended. . I try to do everything in my power to protect my horse's legs because if you don't have legs, you don't have a horse. I have a 6 year old Hanoverian who is just as clumsy as a teenage boy who has had a growth spurt, which I guess my horse is. The best boots I have ever used. I bought the white ones because the average size didn't fit my horse's small hooves so be aware these boots run small. Increase the size.
