Tough 1 Extreme Sport Boots Set with Enhanced Ventilation Review

These are decent boots. I bought these for my 16.2 hour Thoroughbred mare because she sometimes kicks her hind legs. I had no trouble putting them on or taking them off and they seem to offer good protection. The only downside is that they slide down easily when riding. I still wear them on my front feet but decided to try the Iconoclast boots on my back feet.

I didn't expect the white paint to be so thin it has a yellow cast. I have them in black and I love them and I wanted a white set but damn I was disappointed. I wanted to like them but I just can't get over the drastic difference between the white Velcro straps and the rest of the athletic boot. Also, the stitching on this particular set of boots looks dirty and doesn't compare to my other black set.

This is a great purchase! They appear to be well made (time will tell) and easy to use. I ordered the media and it was perfect for my 15.1TB/QH. They were a little big on my QH 13.3 hand (overlapping too much on her thin bones) and a little small on my Warmblood 15.2 hand (barely around her thicker guns and manacles and a little short on her hindquarters). I hope this helps you get an idea of the dimensions. In general I liked the boots, I will buy more.

I've checked the instructions to make sure I'm putting them on correctly and checked the measurements, but they tend to slip off my horses' hooves during use. To the point that I had to adjust them during the trip. As a result, I stopped using it. It's a shame because I was very happy about it. Also note that this probably isn't the best option for overland trips as weeds, stickers etc really get stuck to the fabric - it's crazy to clean.

I've had these boots for a year or less. My horse wears them for chasing, but he's not very active and "don't kick the heels". Although the velcro is very strong (and difficult to untie) the boots didn't hold up. The food detaches from the shell and they fall off. This review follows my previous review where I was quite happy but it only took about 3 months for them to start falling apart. I'm not sure if they have a guarantee.

I have 3 in the back and 1 in the front but that's ok because the 2 in the back were a bit bigger than the 'front' and they're all the same design so will it work . These boots are slightly larger than normal boots. If you can't decide between medium and large I would choose medium unless you have a big enough bone horse with long legs. I ordered a white set on average. They fit my 14.2 Quarter Horse well and I have to say after using them they are worth the money. Just received today, never used. They appear to be of good quality and flexible. I am very happy with the quality. Vented perforations are visible through the white boots, but that's not scary. There is an additional "vent hole" where the two edges meet, but this will most likely be hidden by the overlap. Velcro is VERY strong. It holds up so well I was worried the stitching would tear if I cut it open. I hope the velcro breaks otherwise these boots will be painful. They will definitely stay…
