To be honest I really can't tell these sponges apart from the BONA sponges I already use on hardwood floors. I did a direct study (albeit crude and unscientific) using absorbency and cleaning capacity as factors. Both brands absorb and clean hardwood floors equally. These cheaper ones didn't scratch my hardwood floors even after a week of use. The fluffy backing sticks well to the two Velcro strips on my BONA wet mop. If you look at the pad you can see that the dirt is building up. As for their cleaning, they were well cleaned in warm water and dried. Both sides of the pillow did not fall apart. I like them better because the BONA pads have four grooved strips that trap hard-to-clean dirt. These pads have no grooves. I know some people don't want to use the regular versions, but I'm not one of them. With the price of everything going up everywhere, I'm not proud to use the cheaper versions if it saves me money. These get 5 stars from me.
