Our 10-month-old daughter has wanted to climb anywhere for a long time, so we gritted our teeth and decided to give her a safe way to climb (especially since she had no experience descending - only up to). We thought these blocks would benefit their gross motor skills, and we were right. She loves these things and plays with them all day, every day. and let me tell you about another little benefit. She uses up her energy so much exercising on these blocks that she even sleeps better day and night! A win-win option for baby and parents! :) Can recommend it a million times. I'll admit that we're not the biggest fans of the tunnel block as it's not as sturdy as the others (because it's smaller than the others I guess?), so their teddy bear Barry likes this block the most since it's on is his place. Our daughter uses the smaller semi-circular block almost like a car, maneuvering across the playmat and floor as she crawls. Overall we are very happy with these blocks. They were one of our favorite and smartest purchases for our daughter.
