Review on Ford 7L3Z-8575-D Engine Coolant Thermostat: Efficient Temperature Control for Optimal Engine Performance by Chad Judex

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits Ford 5.4L (2002 F150)

Truck has over 240,000 miles. In the summer, when towing a couple of tons, the engine overheated and the radiator burst. After replacing the radiator and flushing the cooling system well, a radiator leak was discovered. I've been lucky. When replacing the heater core and plumbing, it was logical to replace the worn thermostat. As long as the engine maintains a stable temperature. Too bad the core of the Spectra heater sucks. After a month I can smell antifreeze. Which picture. Always buy Motorcraft parts for your Ford. Cheap parts become expensive when they fail right after the return period.
