I added this in line with the LED strip in the closet. Connectors fit snugly onto the light bar. The sensor works very well to turn the light on when the door is opened and off when the door is closed. The sticky backing is nice, but you don't want anything hanging from the sensor (wires and such) as gravity will eventually pull the sensor down. I added a clamp to take the weight of the wire off the sensor and it stays in place. Note: Don't forget to connect the sensor to the light strip right after the light strip power supply. Adding it after the dimmer will affect the performance of the sensor as the dimmer reduces performance. However, adding a dimmer in line after the sensor works well and does not affect the performance of the dimmer.
