We use walkie-talkies for our business so that valet, security and reception can communicate with each other. The range is pretty good, and we can use walkie-talkies about half a block apart. They are not compatible with other walkie-talkies, so we have to choose between these and other types of walkie-talkies that we have. The volume is REALLY low that you have to turn it all the way up all the time to hear the caller. One stopped working within the first two weeks of use. Might consider ordering again as they don't chirp all the time like some of our other walkie talkies but will hesitate for fear they will stop working quickly.
