Although it appears to plug into two outlets and be powered by both, it isn't. In fact, it plugs into just one outlet and splits that power into 6 directions. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is that the connection between the device and the wall is not too tight. It doesn't fail, but the right bump will disable it. Conversely, the connection between the device and the objects connected to it is almost too tight. You really have to press to connect, and disconnecting devices is easiest if you detach the protector from the wall first. I would give this one 5 stars if it had a center screw and could basically replace a wall outlet and be attached quasi-permanently. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for such a close connection that things are put into. But it seems to do exactly what it promises to do.
