Review on 🩹 QuikClot Adventure Trauma Pack with Medical Kit by Chris Pettway

My Trauma Pak is up to date and fully featured

I have just received my newest AMK Trauma Pak. The expiry date printed on the black outer packaging is 10/2021. Of the claimed 3 years of use, I have at least 2 years and 10 months. Considering it's done in batches, that was probably a good thing, if I may ask. This replaces my 4/2018 drain kit (which I will still have on hand). I opened the old kit to see its contents. Let me comment on some of the statements made in other reviews. The expiry date is stated on the outside of the packaging. There is no need to open the black packaging to see QuikClot's expiration date, which is also printed on the sealed envelope. The expiry date was also listed on the outside of the old 2018 packaging.2. The contents shown around the black box in the photo are the items in the black box. The old set I opened was as pictured except I had 6 wipes instead of just 4. Yes, you only get one coagulation sponge, but that's what it says on the box.3. I haven't tried the gloves, so I can't solve the problem of their small size. But I've added another pair to the wide range of injuries included in this pack. Extra gloves are easy to get.4. I opened the old package as above. However, the packaging can be resealed, so I was able to reseal the packaging to protect its contents. The coagulation sponge is vacuum packed in foil for extra protection.5. One person said it didn't stop the bleeding. I didn't test it as I didn't have a cut to justify it. So I can't test how well sponge and gauze stop bleeding. The trauma pack is actually part of a larger trauma kit that I put together. In addition to the sealed bag, I have another clotting sponge, latex gloves, ambulatory scissors, more gauze pads and rolls, an Israeli army bandage, a tourniquet, spare benzoin tinctures, and a few other items. So I have a comprehensive set that I hope I never have to use.
